I’m a student of religion at the University of Chicago Divinity School. I’m interested in fantasy, and the way fantasy literature wherever it is found, from the pages of sacred scriptures to the footnotes of academic texts, can impact and shape our present realities.
I’m interested, therefore, in thinking about how imagination impacts collective lives. And to that end, I’m interested in all sorts of realms of human activity, from psychology to art to music and beyond. It means that occasionally I am a dilettante. So sue me. But I try to consider how the widest range of human activities can come together in a project that supports human flourishing and happiness in the here and now.
